Schengen Days tracks short stays in the Schengen Area under the 90/180-day rule: at most 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. Log your entry and exit dates to see how many days you have left, how long you could stay if you entered today, and, when you are at the limit, the earliest day you could enter again.
It counts the Schengen rule only. It does not check how many entries a visa allows, a visa’s maximum stay, or time spent on a national (type D) visa or residence permit.
Version 1.3 counts the Schengen 90/180 rule only; the other three rules have been removed. If you had one selected, the app switches to the Schengen rule and tells you once. Your stays are kept as they are, and every stay now counts toward the Schengen limit. Stays recorded in a country outside the Schengen Area are marked Outside Schengen — edit or delete any that were not Schengen stays.
For each day, the app looks back over the previous 180 days, including that day, and counts the days you were in the Schengen Area. Both entry and exit days count. The limit has to hold on every day of a stay, so “Safe to stay until” is the last day of an uninterrupted stay starting today that keeps every day within 90. This follows the European Commission’s published method, but the app is not an official calculator and its result is not a border decision.
All data is stored locally on your device by default. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account and synced across your devices; changes made on another device appear when you next open the app. We do not run any servers and never receive your data. Auto Location uses Apple’s reverse-geocoding service to name the country you are in — see the Privacy Policy.
The free app covers everything you need to track stays. Pro is a one-time purchase that adds planning tools: forecast mode, trip templates, calendar sync, visual timeline, proactive alerts, CSV export/import, and automatic location tracking (iOS).
Open Settings in the app, scroll to the Schengen Days Pro section, and tap “Restore Purchases.” Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used for the original purchase.
On iOS, the app can use significant-location-change monitoring to notice when you cross a border into a Schengen country. It creates a draft stay for you to review; nothing counts toward your days until you confirm it. Drafts are created only for Schengen countries. Detection is approximate and depends on iOS delivering location updates, so check your drafts against your travel. This feature requires “Always” location permission and is a Pro feature. It can be turned off at any time in the app.

Open Settings, scroll to Data Management, and tap “Delete All Data.” This permanently removes all stays, visas, templates and drafts from the app. To be sure nothing remains in iCloud, also remove the app’s data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Schengen Days. Turning off iCloud sync alone does not delete anything from iCloud.
